Systems Analyst

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, maintain and test servers, storage, workstations, and network infrastructure on premise and in Azure
  • Install, configure, and test databases, operating systems, and virtualization platforms
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and service issues related to the above infrastructure
  • Work directly with other Systems Analysts, Project Managers and Developers to help implement IT infrastructure
  • Be accountable for the installation and integration of systems, ensuring timelines are met and quality solutions are delivered
  • Prepare and maintain documentation in an efficient and professional manner
  • Automation via scripting, PowerShell
  • Monitoring application performance
  • Windows patch management
  • Hardware inventory/asset management
  • Follow IT policies and procedures to control information security
  • Create user accounts and maintain appropriate access for individuals to necessary information
  • Maintain and support telephony equipment. Extension and voicemail addition, move, and deletion
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals
  • Assists in the analysis, design, and provide support during implementation on projects
  • Maintain tickets in the service desk system and update internal knowledgebase
  • Remain up to date on new technologies and participate in evaluations
  • Recommend and implement improvements to system security
  • Implement new or improve existing monitoring systems to more effectively respond to issues
  • Be organized, enthusiastic, and take direction from Manager of IT Operations, CTO and CEO
  • Be willing and available to participate in an afterhours On-Call rotation

Required work related experience and proven skills:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ progressive experience in Information Technology, with proven experience in deploying, and supporting complex systems
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma from a Technology Institute in computing and or network support
  • A+ Certification
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical data and analysis to internal and external stakeholders
  • Sound organizational skills, with the capability to handle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced and priority-changing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed
  • Very strong customer service orientation skills are required
  • Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, Windows 7/8/10
  • MS SQL administration tasks
  • IP networking, routers/switches/firewall
  • Backup concepts
  • Security
  • Azure cloud services
  • Hyper-V
  • Active Directory
  • DNS
  • Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Gmail, and other emailing apps
  • Experience in cabling and patching in data centers
